The Pima County Wireless Integrated Network (PCWIN) Staff would like the Tumamoc community and visiting public to be aware of upcoming activities on Tumamoc Hill.
Closure Dates
PCWIN Staff and project contractors will be moving and staging sensitive equipment up the Hill on Monday, May 13th and Tuesday, May 14th. A security officer will report to the base of the Hill from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, each day.
Construction Area Expansion
Aerial line work will be will be conducted on Thursday, May 9th and Friday, May 10th, expanding the construction zone by 200 feet down the paved roadway. No access will be permitted. Cultural monitors will be onsite to protect the Hill’s archeological sensitivity.
A reminder that public access on Tumamoc Hill is restricted by the University of Arizona Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Hours are posted at the first entry gate leading up the Hill. Hikers are welcome prior to 7:30 am and after 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday, and all day on the weekends.
